Orihuela Costa

Orihuela Costa

A continuous 16km stretch of interconnected Blue Flag beaches, resorts, and residential communities extends south from Torrevieja, shaping the Orihuela Costa. Well-known locales in this area include Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Villamartín, Mil Palmeres, Los Dolses, and Campoamor. This section, the most bustling and densely developed on the Costa Blanca, boasts the region’s most cost-effective beach residences, featuring typical urbanizations comprising apartments, duplexes, quads, and townhouses. Accessibility to amenities, beaches, the popular La Zenia Boulevard shopping center, and the vibrant strip is convenient. English is widely spoken, facilitating interactions with fellow expats.

Despite experiencing a period of substantial growth in the last two decades, with numerous planned enhancements, the South Costa Blanca – Orihuela Costa still offers opportunities to acquire reasonably priced properties in its sought-after urbanizations. For instance, a budget of €95,000 can secure an elevated, low-rise apartment with sea views, off-road parking, and a mere 3km distance to Playa Flamenca beach. Property options range from resale apartments starting at €90,000 to average beach-adjacent townhouses priced around €110,000. However, there are also villas available, reaching up to €600k.

Pilar de la Horadada, the southernmost resort in the Costa Blanca, combines a tranquil old town ambiance with beaches and a marina at Torre de la Horadada. It provides a more traditional and serene alternative to other resorts in Orihuela Costa, with competitive prices. Resale apartments near the beach are available from around €95,000.
